Review

Praise for Eerie Elementary #1:"The plot and twisted storyline will serve the beginning chapter book reader well. Word choice, action, and crisp sketches support the story, allowing early readers to develop ideas and easily follow the plot." -- Library Media Connection"Give this early chapter book to readers who want something scary but aren't ready for the 'Goosebumps' or 'Scream Street' series." -- School Library Journal"Dynamic, cartoonish illustrations amp up the action, and fun onomatopoeia provides atmosphere....Readers who relish the action of Dav Pilkey's Ricky Ricotta series and the just-beyond-safe scares of R.L. Stine's Rotten School titles may want to enroll at Eerie Elementary." -- Booklist"Chabert hits just the right horror note for transitional readers, with thrills that include a dash of absurd humor and fall tactfully short of being truly frightening....Simple sentence structure, some repetitive (but not tedious) vocabulary and a direct storytelling style make this a worthy and creepy addition to the Branches series, and the scary story aspect will likely pull in a few reluctant readers. Ricks' illustrations add an appropriately gloomy but playful touch." -- Bulletin of the Center for Children's BooksPraise for Eerie Elementary #2:"Plenty of action words and direct sentences make this suitable for emerging readers....it will be a good fit for readers not quite ready for Lovecraft Middle School or Goosebumps." -- Booklist

My son is on the spectrum, but very advanced in his reading skills(He's in 1st, reading at almost a 4th grade level), when we can get him to pay attention to it. I had found a Locker ate Lucy at a store and gave it to him for his birthday, and after he finally picked it up and read it(in 2 or so hours no less), he was absolutely BEGGING me for the rest of the series. I got him this and one other one, as well as the first Dragon Masters, and he's begging for the rest already. It warms my heart to see such a love of reading instilled in my little guy. He's talking about the characters as if they are schoolmates of his, and I can't wait to afford the rest of the series.

My son is 7 and in second grade and he loves this series. They are specifically part of a scholastic series designed to get young readers engaged and excited about reading. My son gobbles these up. They have more action so kids do not get bored. I highly recommend these books (there are only three so far) and other books that are part of the Scholastic Branches series.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! This is an excellent series of books! Wish there was more books in the series! My nine-year-old son just loves them I was so excited to get this in the mail today!!! I am sure he will not disappoint!

My six-year-old son has loved this series since book #2 came out. So much so that a year a go we emailed the author in hopes that #3 would be on its way soon. He actually emailed us back and said he would be writing more! Needless to say, it thrilled my son that one of his favorite authors had actually contacted him back.Well. We've been waiting for over a year for book #3 and just finished it tonight. We loved it! The author has such a great way with keeping young kids in suspense, that saving more chapters until the next night was just torture for my son (in a good way)! This series has been largely responsible for my son's jump to chapter books, and #3 didn't disappoint. Now, more waiting until #4!

These story’s are great! My son gets excited to read every night to find out what happens to Sam and his friends next! This book is his favorite of the series

my grandson loves these books. Asked could he buy the next one? LOL was very disappointed when told he hadn't written another one yet. This was before he read the latest one I got him for his birthday.

7 year old son loves this book and this series of books. Would recommend to anyone trying to get boys into reading more. 10 year son likes tot read them too! Amazon has the best deal on these books that I have found.

Perfect for my 1st grade boy who can read beginner chapter books. He probably could read it on his own, but we choose to alternate pages. The story moves quickly and he wants to know what happens next.

Nobody does dialogue like Lola Lace. Everything she writes is extremely entertaining. I love her heroines' inner dialogue. It is always hilarious.I struggled with Kelby in this book. I really wished she hadn't let Antonio walk all over her for as long as she did. She let herself be a doormat. I don't enjoy those types of heroines. I also hate Antonio. He was not redeemed in my eyes. However, I love Lola's writing style. Her characters go against the grain of traditional romance and I am a sucker for originality. That coupled with the awesome dialogue and sexy scenes, makes for a great read. I also love that her characters are flawed. Imperfect. Like people are in real life.P.s what is Joel's story? There is more to him than meets the eye. And can we get the scoop on Daniel and his drama? What about Lahaina? She seems like she would have an awesome story. Let's continue this series, please

I have not read a book by Ms. Lace that I have not re-read. This is another book that I will re-read! I'm glad to see Tonio and Kelby get the love they deserved with each other. I read this book in one setting! I was so happy when I saw it pop up in my Kindle because I pre-ordered the book. Great job Ms. Lolah! You are the bomb dot com with these stories! Keep writing and I will definitely keep reading! I recommend anyone reading this review to get the complete series. You will not be disappointed!

Lolah Lace's stories are steamy, engaging, and always just a bit crazy...and I love them! This is Book 3 of the Heart Novella series. I like that in this book the heroine did a great job of standing up for herself and putting some distance between herself and the H. The H was sexy and intense but also took the h for granted and was at times a bully to her. This book sees our h growing and taking ownership of her life and putting out there what she wants and deserves for herself. This really forces the H to look at himself and his behavior and start making changes. That being said the H does all he can to win her back, after all, All's fair in love and war. Great book Lolah Lace, keep it up.

Yes-Heart of Gold Book 3Book one I was on the fence. Book two left me bordering between laughter, intrigue and shock. Book three just confirmed what I already knew. Lolah is one hell of a writer. All three books are a fantastic! Tonio and Shelby's love is dark and explosive with a healthy dose of lust. Lolah had me giving my younger self the side eye. This was definitely a Romantic, Dramatic- Hott read!

Antonio said true to the end. I seriously wanted to punch them both a few times. But I really enjoyed this series. Great Job Mrs Lace.

I read all three books and I must say, Antonio took the cake. I applaud Kelby for putting up with his mess and he was definitely a hot mess!😂😂😂. I really enjoyed the books and now I am going to check out the Balls to Wall series.

Loved the story, the hero was entitled and he should have been brought down a peg or 2. The heroine was kind of frustrating a little weak but all in all a goo story.

Loved it! A great 5 star read. A smooth flowing story; packed with suspense and intrigue. Gear up for a hot, steamy and dramatic roller coaster ride. This was quite a page turner and I was able to read it in one sitting. I would totally recommend this book.
