Not as good as the other books. It does read as smoothly as the other ones. My kids, who can quote Pout Pout Fish books with out looking, wouldn't stay engaged in the story. They were disinterested after the 3rd page. Pretty disappointed, we waited a while for this book to be released.

Timely. Arrived in good shape. My 2-year old and 4 -year old LOVE this book. It is a good bedtime book about how to fall asleep.

Toddler loves Pout Pout and this has become one of her favorites to look at in bed when she can’t sleep.

My seven-year-old has an ongoing school assignment to read twenty minutes a day. She chose to stark with Big Nate books for this project. As a parent, I couldn't be happier with the Big Nate series of books. She's enjoying the books so much that she doesn't want to put them down. The intermittent laughter coming from her reading is an extra perk, too! (How the boys were playing with Barbies really cracked her up!) Keep popping these books out, Lincoln Peirce, because I'm going to have a very disappointed child once she gets to the last book available.

Our seven year old is obsessed with this series. He spends his allowance money on them. He received four more for Christmas, and is receiving a reading award in his class next week. He will ask to go to bed 30 minutes early just so he can read. Needless to say, we are extremely pleased.

This book is a collection of Sunday's from other books I had already read most of the Sunday's too. Do not buy this boom if you have read a lot of other Big Nate books. You will recognize most of these. It is full of Sunday's and nothing else It is funny, but not what I thought I purchased. Hope nyou like it, I certainly was disappointed.

You can't go wrong buying this book. It is a fun read and most school kids would really enjoy it. My son sure does. I would buy this again. It is not particularly educational however when kids are reading I always think that is a good thing, My son has reread this book many times and continues to.

This book is great for all ages and funny as wellIt is for sure a five star book and it will keep you reading until the last second

This book is loved by so many kids I know. I can buy this for my kids, for a present for one of their friends or just for his school. This series are great fun for kids. They are funny and creative and keep kids reading. This type of book makes kids want to read. Good book and delivers again.

There are a lot of cute projects in here, but there are no instructions for sizing an item up or down. This obviously doesn't much matter for things like scarves, but it would be nice to be able to make the mittens and socks in various sizes, and unfortunately, I am not adept enough at knitting to know how to adjust the patterns myself. For example, the hedgehog mittens on the cover "should fit an average child of 7-10 years", which is disappointing to me as a 31 year old woman who wants to wear them. :(

I got this as a gift for my mom who is an advanced knitter. I am fairly disappointed as I was hoping for more patterns like the one featured on the cover. Having gone through the book now, I would say that it is about 75% scarves (with critter faces and tales) and the rest largely hats and socks. There are only two patterns like the one on the cover - the hedgehog mittens and fox mittens. They are both adorable and my son immediately said he'd like the fox mittens. This will come down to personal preference, but my mom makes adorable mittens and fingerless gloves and I thought this would expand her repertoire. It's misleading when a book cover features the cutest pattern, but it is not representative of the majority of content. And since "Look Inside" is only a sampling of what you will find inside I hoped for (many) more mittens.

There are a few reasons that I was disappointed, but what contributed most to the lower star rating was the lack of sizing options.Something else is that all of the patterns are variations of the same basic scarf/mitten/hat/sock patterns. I really consider it more like 3 or 4 patterns with about 30 variations.

I'm somewhat disappointed in that so many of the otherwise clever patterns are written for bulky/chunky yarn and large needles, which are not my preference. There was no way to determine this from the "look inside" format.

This book has some seriously cute designs, however, most of them are geared towards little kids. Still, they're cute and look pretty easy to work up so I'll probably get some use out of the patterns.

I agree with most of the other 5 star reviews. Love it! The only thing I did not like was the fact that the stockinette stitches all curl & I wanted my scarves to be flat. I am a fairly experienced knitter, so I changed the stitch choices to seed stitch (faces) & twisted rib (bodies).Now I get flat scarves and texture at the same time. I am absolutely thrilled with the results.
